“SELF”
Mixed Exhibition
The creators of today’s art transform art into a system that produces “itself”, just like in other systems, with references that build their productions on certain resources and variations that will last forever. In this self-generating system, the artist, who makes this production both intellectually and objectively, places himself in a privileged position in terms of some references to the past and the activity of transforming the future. From the free observatory, where he tries to create himself in a way, he transforms the contradictions of the world in which he lives and into the dynamics of production. By intersecting various methods and techniques with the stages of scientific research, the artist reduces the data he obtains to the mass field, creates an illusion between the world he produces and the real world he lives in, transfers his subjective evaluations and opens these transmissions to the audience or through written texts. At this point, artists Zeliha Akçaoğlu, Kerem Atar, Turan Büyükkahraman, Deniz Gökduman, Nurdan Likos, Caner Karakaş, Şenay Kazalova, Huri Kiriş, F. Deniz Korkmaz, Hülya Küpçüoğlu, who came together with an exhibition titled “Yourself” through their production methods. The figure-focused works of Günal Salt, Mustafa Özbakır, Zeynep Özdemir and Ezgi Yüksel examine the contradictory relations of people with the world they live in. In Art Suites Gallery, there are thirty one works of fourteen artists who came together in the exhibition titled “On Yourself”, created by different expressions and methods.
