ART Suites Gallery Bodrum opens the season and gallery with the solo exhibition of Deniz Aktaş, one of the youngest artists who have recently come to the fore with their works. While Aktaş follows his production spatially and builds on the temporality of these traces; it actually examines the phenomenon of change. By associating the artist who feeds with his own past with the concept of “immigration”; He advocates the idea of ​​questioning facts such as being forced to another place, alienated, destroyed or destroyed. It disrupts and complicates the situation in which old earthen village houses are replaced by today’s concrete houses, where some traces of the past deviate from their narrative features and are forced into today’s artificiality and banality with superimposed old-new buildings. While creating this complexity, the fine details or some striking forms and forms he uses in his paintings constitute the characteristic feature of Aktaş’s paintings. Their work; “… Although people leave a mark on the spaces, they often destroy these traces or add a new dimension. I am disrupting the concept of space and city in my paintings. ” explains in the form. In his works in the exhibition, he emphasizes the overlooked and distorted details in the spaces we are in with the urban and spatial sections he painted on large-sized canvas surfaces. The descriptive sections he deals with and the architectural drawings he uses aim to present the distorted urbanization to the audience by presenting the artificial between the previous and the next.
